The Barn, Little London is a new premises in Chichester, (well it’s actually circa 100 years old, it’s been derelict for about 9 years!). Originally it was a working Barn for a successful local Corn Merchant family.
We opened on the 23rd of September 2020 – we have a RARE Slow Food Eatery & Events venue and a Food Hall which celebrates Local Slow Food as well as emerging Independent Food Brands.
Emma Schwarz, Founder of The Rare Brand Market and RARE Life is behind all this. She would love you all to shop for locally sourced RARE food and a bit less at the Supermarket! It would be one of the great silver linings from this whole COVID ERA if we could all go “more local” for our food! Emma is a foodie through and through, a Great Taste Awards Judge https://greattasteawards.co.uk, Food Author and Chair of Slow Food Sussex https://www.slowfood.org.uk She knows a thing or two about food, taste and quality. She has personally curated the product range for this website. Please read about the suppliers she has curated as they are a very RARE selection and it’s nice for you to understand the provenance of everything. 75% of the range of products comes from a 30mile radius of Chichester! If we have gone further afield for something it’s because we cannot get it locally and meet our quality control for taste, value, and rareness factor.
