Zero-G Grüner Veltliner 2019 ‘Fresh, crisp Austrian wine for some New Year joy’

Here’s a fabulous example of a Grüner Veltiner wine that is wonderfully balanced and manages to have a lightness of touch along with intense flavour. Zero-G comes from winemaker Arnold Holzer’s vineyard in Wagram, an Austrian region better known for a victorious Napoleonic battle than for wine. Northwest of Vienna, these are native Austrian grapes. As you might expect this 100 per cent Grüner has typical notes of white pepper nd green fruit but the Wagram egion adds a touch of cream. It stays fresh in the mouth, but you’ll remember it for its satisfying balance. Alc 12%. Screwcap
